"Scientific observation has established that education is not what
the teacher gives; education is a natural process spontaneously carried
out by the human individual and is acquired not by listening to words but
by experiences upon the environment." Dr. Maria Montessori, Education for
a New World
- She developed hands-on materials to aid learning.
- Her individualized curriculum is patterned today in private and public schools alike.
“Education is a natural process…acquired by experiences.”

What makes this different from a public school?
Students can use the time and resources they need to master skills and
knowledge. Teacher observation aids assessment of individual progress.
Why is the tuition at Montessori schools so
high?
Facility costs, salaries, materials and resources are usually financed
by tuition and donations. Our fees are comparable to or lower than private
schools in our region. Some private schools are subsidized by a connected
religious facility.
Will my child transition well to a public school?
When students develop a love of learning in a stimulating and challenging
classroom, their inner confidence helps them accept any new setting.
If my child does not attend Duneland Montessori during the regular school year, can he/she attend your Summer Learning Programming?
Yes! We welcome new students ages 4-10 in our Summer Learning Program. Click here to learn more…. |
